Delwood House

Our office watched this project, located just north of the Mueller development, with anticipation as we & the owners supervised a complete renovation.  The original house had had two additions that actually made the house darker & more difficult to entertain in.

BEFORE Photo by Recek Architects.

We wanted to remove those two additions, returning those two areas to their original uses, as a carport & a large back patio.  We also merged the living/family/dining rooms into one bigger space that is open to the kitchen.  The newly redone master suite features an expanded master bathroom & is separated from the other bedrooms by the living space, providing a measure of privacy.   This renovation brought this home a level of elegance and ample space to allow the owners to entertain more easily & enjoyably.  The beautiful photography of the home after the renovation is by Allison Cartwright, at www.TwistTours.com.

West Lake Hills Project

We are excited to be working on a potential project in West Lake Hills.  We completed the initial design sketches of the plans & front elevation, and then we hired Baron Wilson of Studio B to create a rendering to assist in attracting a potential buyer.  We've worked with Studio B a few times in the past & have always greatly enjoyed the results!  Baron Wilson is local Austin artist & also does architectural illustrations.  In addition, Baron has training in architecture & art, which allows us to communicate both the technical aspects of a project as well as the general atmosphere & style of a project.  For this potential residence, Baron created a Sketchup model and offered us several viewpoints to choose from.  We discussed basic materials and a color pallete & away he went!  Once the basics were agreed on, Baron watercolored the final rendering with beautiful style.  Please see below for the finished rendering!  The initial sketch plans are in the "Current & Recent Projects" section of our website & visit Studio B for more examples of Baron Wilson's work!

2009 NARI Homes Tour -

We are proud to announce that a home we worked on will be on the 2009 NARI (National Association of the Remodelers Industry) Homes Tour  for the Austin chapter.  We were brought into the project by Realty Restoration, a very talented company that oversaw the full remodel of this residence.  Realty Restoration does beautiful work, with an eye towards fine craftsmanship.  This is the second house from Realty Restoration that has been selected for the NARI Homes Tour in the past 3 years; on the 2007 NARI Homes Tour, a Realty Restoration project was awarded the title of "Best of Tour."  There are photos of the 2007 Homes Tour project on the Realty Restoration website.

Please make some time to visit all the homes on the 2009 Homes Tour on October 24-25, from 12 p.m.-6 p.m.  It's $5 per home, or $25 to see all 16 houses.  More details are available on the NARI Austin Chapter website.
